VMware ESXI 6.5 Server

What and Why?

This Dell PowerEdge T420 was received from a local company which was shutting down due to COVID-19. At the time, I had no idea what I was doing, but with hours of research and learning how to operate it, I was able to get it up and running for future endeavors. For the most part, I never used it, but recently, I have been using it to host a Minecraft server for my friends and I. I had thought of using it for my 3D printer but decided that a dedicated server would be better for it.

Specifications and Details

The server has 16 SATA bays in the front, each loaded with a 128gb HDD. It has 64gb of DDR3 RAM, and 2 Intel Pentium chips. The OS installed on it currently is VMware ESXI 6.5. It currently has one VM running Windows 10 for the minecraft server. Most of the resources are allocated to this VM, as no other VMs are registered on the server. I have added an autorestart function to ensure smooth operation and no need for maintenance while I am away from home at Rose-Hulman.
